After a good start, our tomato harvest sputtered and then slowed to a crawl.

Although late blight has so far stayed away, the summer’s heat, drought and now bugs are taking a toll. We have stinkbugs and whiteflies but we don’t think they are responsible for the tunnels being carved in both our ripe and our green tomatoes.

Any idea whodunit?

Although we had to pull up this plant because most of the fruit was affected, the good news is that it’s time to make green tomato salsa with the unaffected tomatoes.
