It’s spring, at least according to meteorologists where in the Northern hemisphere  spring begins on March 1st.

Here on Monroe St the snows are slowly melting and none too soon as March traditionally marks the time for spring planting. Cold hardy vegetables including peas and early greens can withstand, as the name implies, freezing temperatures.

Indoors, it’s time to plant long season vegetables such as tomatos and peppers so they can get a good start before moving them outdoors.  Now where are the peat pots?
