Word is that the DDOE REDP grants will be announced “soon.”

News: According to an email regarding the status of the grant proposals, applicants not receiving funding this time around will be eligible for the new program (although additional requirements may apply).

Good news: The Renewable Energy Incentive Program (REIP) will be funded at $2 million per year until 2012 (funding for the REDP is $150,000).

Not so good news: This program will begin some time after October 1, 2009.

Back to good news: The REIP will be open to photovoltaic, solar thermal hot water and space heating, small wind, geothermal heat pump, and viable biomass/methane capture projects.

I don’t mind waiting, even until the cows come home, long as the end result is good news!
