The Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) is dedicated to fighting global warming in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Their mission is to educate and mobilize citizens in switching to clean energy and energy-efficient products which will slow and perhaps halt the dangerous trend of global warming.

Want to learn more? the DC CCAN will meet on Wednesday September 17th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the Mt Pleasant library (3160 16th Street, NW)

The meeting will include a brief overview of Green Jobs Now and education about reducing home energy costs with easy ways to get involved. Contact Holly Gorman (240-396-2146) for more information.

Helios Monroe will be in Philadelphia next week for a Peace Corps training but we’ll see you at the next CCAN meeting.
